Matt Welter is the founder of Dormy House and the developer behind Ocean Park, a public-private workforce housing community in Bandon, Oregon. As a former caddie, an entrepreneur and experienced real estate developer, Welter launched Dormy House in 2021 after witnessing firsthand the housing challenges faced by employees in rural and remote towns. His work in Bandon, Oregon, began with the development of workforce housing for Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, which led to his involvement in Ocean Park – a partnership with the City of Bandon and the Bandon School District to create affordable homes and apartments for teachers, city staff and local families. As a Bandon homeowner himself, Welter brings both professional expertise and a personal commitment to the community's long-term stability and success.
